N. J. Brandt ran the General Store in Whitewater. You can check his Business Directory listings for him in the 1919 and 1931 R. G. Dun Directories. In 1920 N.J. Brant was, essentially, the entire town. The 1920 Bradstreet lists the population of Whitewater as 3(three) people. By 1931, the population of the town was up to about 60.
