ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This is, as far as I know, the only token ever reported from the town of Daniels, Montana. Daniels was a mining village in Powell County about 24 miles south west of Deer Lodge. The town was founded in 1902 and in 1904 when James Wilson ran a Saloon and Restaurant there it had a population of 125. See Wilson's Saloon listing in the 1904 Montana R. L. Polk Gazetteer. By 1906 the miners had moved on and the post office had been discontinued. By 1908, the town had disappeared.
