V. & P. were Vale & Potter and they were Liquor Dealers and Saloon Proprietors from about 1908 until Prohibition came to Montana in 1919 and then, as the token notes, they ran a Pool Hall. See, for example, the 1908 Pacific Coast Agency and 1919 Dun Directories.

There is a Vale & Potter and also a few V. & P. tokens listed in the Montana Token Book.
