This self attributed token is not listed in Montana token literature. Until this listing it was unknown.

Very rare item.

C. L. Hanson was a Saloon Proprietor in Rudyard from the early teens until the arrival of Prohibition in Montana in 1919. (Montana voted to go dry in 1916 and did so in 1919...one year before most of the rest of the nation.) Hanson has Business Directory listings in the 1912 1914, 1918 and 1919 Montana R. G. Duns and 1916 Polk. In 1918 and 1919 he had a partner named Peterson.
