Jerome D. Hayes was a Saloon Proprietor in East Helena, a city of about 1200 people, in the first decade of the 20th Century. He has Business Directory listings, for example, in the 1904 R. L. Polk Gazetteer (as an Ice Dealer), the 1906 R. L. Polk and the 1908 Pacific Coast Agency Directory. A copy of his 1906 listing is provided below.
