This token is from the 1st. Infantry of the Montana National Guard. It is a rare item and is not listed in Cunningham.

The Montana Army National Guard has a rich and proud heritage serving the citizens of Montana. Formed in 1885, the First Montana Infantry Regiment was formally organized in 1887 and the first company was located in Virginia City. The silk banner commissioned in 1895 to represent the First Montana Infantry - the Kessler Banner - was later adopted as the Montana state flag.
